ATLANTA, October 15, 2012: About two hundred unpaid helpers of the company gathered to restore the main Oakland City Park, on the First Team Company’s Helper Day held by Cox Enterprises on 13th October 2012. The company stretched its yearly philanthropic movement by overseeing two worker helper events that were Team Cox Helper Day and river clean up. This campaign is to benefit the United Way of Greater Atlanta, Earth Share of Georgia and the Cox Employee Relief Fund. Cox Atlanta’s officials lead the campaign every year; Alex Taylor has been given the honors to lead the campaign this year.
Alex believes that by conducting a yearly Helper Day, the company strengthens their companies’ belief on doing well for its employees and the society. He further added that their company is honored to help enlighten most important lives of people around them. The events arranged include painting, cleaning and supervision of three areas of Oakland City, which are Outdoor Activity Center, recreational area and amusement point.
The company has been involved in many community service projects throughout the year 2012. Major projects include a joint venture with Pak Pride and Earth Share of Georgia in April to clear out the Reverend James Orange Oakland City. Earlier this year, about 400 Cox volunteers built two Habitats for Humanity homes only 1 mile ahead of the Park.
